The Cotswold Life Food & Drink Awards took place at Cheltenham Race Course on Monday night celebrating the best of our local food and drink. Of the many winners, the Drinks Product of the Year award went to the Cotswold Brewing Company for their Cotswold Wheat Beer, one of the popular local beers that we stock, but the highlight of the night was the Cotswold Food Hero award which went to our very own Guy Warner!

Praised by the judges for his commitment to local producers, it was the fact that Guy works closely with and champions so many local food suppliers, helping them bring their produce to market fairly and honestly, that proved he was a true local food hero.

“I am thrilled to receive this award, especially because it is voted for by the public,” said Guy. “It shows that our message of ‘buying local’ is working and that customers really do see Warner’s Budgens as a local supermarket. That’s exactly what we always hoped to achieve.”
